Wonil Kim

Chief Scientific Officer Aston Sci

As the Chief Scientific Officer of Aston Sci. Inc., the biotech company, Dr. Wonil Kim spearheads strategic R&D focused on an AI-driven epitope prediction platform, Th-Vac, to create therapeutic anti-cancer or prophylactic anti-virus vaccines. His work emphasizes educating Th1 cells through mRNA vaccines and developing advanced immuno-oncological therapies. Wonil has built an mRNA drug R&D platform targeting cancer, viral infections, and autoimmune diseases. This platform leverages innovations in vitro transcription, large-scale mRNA production, FPLC/HPLC purification, and mRNA-lipid nanoparticle (LNP) encapsulation in developing mRNA drug candidates, including preventive vaccines and immune therapeutics.
