Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer Portrai
Daeseung Lee is Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Portrai, a biotechnology company pioneering spatial biology and utilizing extensive data-driven AI to transform drug discovery and precision medicine. An ophthalmologist by training, he earned his medical degree from Seoul National University and combines clinical expertise with experience in technology commercialization, machine learning product development, and biotech strategy. At Portrai, he leads the development of the ‘Virtual Tissue Pharmacology’ platform, designed to uncover novel therapeutic targets and predict drug efficacy, thereby de-risking the drug development process. Under his leadership, Portrai has validated its technology through strategic partnerships and selections by global pharma, including J&J’s JLABS Korea, Amgen’s Golden Ticket, and Celltrion.
